2023-2024 Mini Solar Challenge Program
This Project Based Learning program is designed for 5th & 6th grade classrooms to raise awareness in the stewardship of natural resources with a culminating project that results in the building of a mini solar powered boat. Students will have the opportunity to race their boats against other students and schools across the PWAG CET service area.
1st-3rd place winners will be selected in the following categories: Writing, Presentation and Racing. The program is aligned to both 5th and 6th grade science standards and will challenge the students in all aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM).
This program is FREE but has limited availability.

Getting Started
A presentation to review the program will be held via Zoom on October 18, 2023 at 3:00 PM and is required for all interested teachers. A completed application form (see below) will be required and should be completed by October 12th by 3:00 PM to fully participate in the program.
You will be registered for the presentation once the application is completed and your designated water agency will email you the Zoom information for the October 18th meeting.
